ePortfolios

Our November 20th meeting focused on using Web 2.0 tools, freely available on the Internet, to create student-centered electronic portfolios. We discussed how the use of a portfolio can be a powerful tool to support both learning and assessment. Over the course of several meetings we will look at how to use Google Sites, wikis and other online productivity tools to create interactive portfolios.

An ePortfolio may contain the following items.

  • Updated resume and references
  • Career Materials
    • Career DNA Profile and assessments
    • Talent analysis
    • 7 Option Career Plans
    • Career Choice cards
    • Career materials
  • Work-based Learning Site Documentation
    • Training Plan/Employability Profile
    • Related work assignments
    • Performance evaluations
    • Time card hours of training
    • Potential Employers
  • Samples of class assignments
